21 days of Lock-down

“21 days of Lockdown” right now this is the most difficult situation for us all. Everyone is concerned about how these days will pass and whether they will be able to handle all the ups and downs of life.

A lot of us are busy arranging daily needs for our family so that no one goes though any shortage. Right now, we are in a feeling that everything wrong is happening with us and with the known ones around us. Many are complaining that they can’t met their friends, hangout and party.

Maybe they are right at there place, but in all this we forgot that there are many unprivileged around us who belong to the lower class of the society, the daily wages workers and a lot many people who don’t even know what all is going around us and why. Think about the people who don’t have homes, it will take them a lot of time to understand what’s going on and why.

The intent of this article is not to understand the difficulties of others – that is something that we can’t understand as we don’t have that enlightened knowledge, this article is about how we can take this situation positively and help everyone around us in that.

When this will end, every restaurant will have 3 hours wait, every kid will be happy to be back in school, everyone will love their job, the stock market will skyrocket, and we will all embrace and shake hands.

In last few days and in the coming days we have saved lakhs of litres of Fuel while we aren’t out roaming. When we look at the sky these days the sky seems clearer. Studies say that Ozone layer is healing – we are giving much needed space and time for the nature to heal itself and later it will heal us. The noise of the vehicles has been replaced by Birds Chirping, Trees Waving and Leaves rattling. The animals have come out on streets without any fear.

We are getting time to sleep for that extra minute and wake up without worrying about our busy schedules, and instead we are getting time with family and let’s not forget the video calls with our friends, the online Ludo games with distant friends – remember the summer vacations.

We have become self-conscious about cleanliness, hygiene and probably have time to give to our hobbies. We have realized that Health is the real Wealth and Prevention is Far better that cure.

We have developed a habit of keeping a check on the latest news and staying updated with what’s going on in this world and the most important of all we all have developed gratitude in our hearts, though we are praying for our selfish reason that the virus should go away but we are also praying for this world to heal.

In short along with having quality family time we have developed social awareness we have become socially responsible.

May be this phase has come to realize us about what we were missing, may be this time has so that mother nature can heal itself, may be this phase can come to give us the time we are missing.

As “Bernice Johnson Reagon” has rightly said “Life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they’re supposed to help you discover who you are“.

And as soon as we discover what we are missing and what is right, this phase will pass away and all we will be left with is good and positive environment and everything around us.
