Just like the candle

A woman spends her whole life for her family. She exhausts herself for fulfilling the wishes of her family. “Just like the candle” is a poem that defines this journey of a woman with the comparison to a candle.

Just like the candle burns to brighten the life’s of others, a woman spends her life for the happiness of people around her.

The poem also shows a different perspective where it shows that a candle can be used and can still be saved from exhausting itself if it is kept properly in a mould. Similarly, if a woman is also supported, pampered and cared by her family and loved ones, then she can also live her life in a better form.

The poem goes as follows,

Just like the candle, we burn ourselves to brighten your path,
Even if you don't realize, somewhere, we are dispersing ourselves apart...

When we see you in brightness, the burning doesn't affect us,
So what if it pains, the heat doesn't kill us...
 
With time as we melt, we will start getting dripped,
Not only the structure, our soul, will also get crippled...

We won't say this to you in words, 
It's not a complaint, but a feeling, that can't be framed in words...
Sometimes you may realize it, sometimes not, 
Still, we will dedicate ourselves to you, without giving a thought...

It's not that to lighten your path, we should always, lose ourselves,
If you realize it at the right time, you can also save us, from losing ourselves...

You will not even have to spend yourself for saving us,
You just need to be the mould, for preserving the melted us...

So that whenever we spend ourselves, we can still be saved, in the mould, 
So that we can be with you throughout, instead of just losing ourselves out...

One of the biggest challenge that came for publishing this poem, is to get the perfect image to describe the feeling. After searching for days I came to know about `Rekindle Regenerating Candlestick` created by Benjamin Shine. The candle holder collects melting wax to form a new candle in the base, you can see the process of the same in the GIF shared below.
